The rise and Fall of Zerafians Z
My car has just been taken from me...sadly I made some bad decisions with my money and well, I paid for it with getting her repossessed. I guess everyone learns life lessons at some point:dunno: I honestly shed a tear during the part out and today when she was taken away.
First week I had her, September 2006 http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/2...10118at421.png June 2008 Coilovers, Exhaust, Sound System http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9...10118at428.png http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/9...10118at428.png November 2008 06+ rims, roof overlay, spacers, eyelids http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2...10118at429.png March 2009 VOLKS :D http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/1...10118at431.png September 2009 BODY WORK..11 weeks of to much to list http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/2...10118at422.png http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/7...10118at444.png January 2010 Seibon TS hood, 06+ lights, JDM side markers, berk HFC, Injen CAI http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/2...10118at422.png http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/2...10118at422.png January 2011..Downfall begins volks gone, 06+ lights gone, jdm tails, engine mods, seibon ts hood http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6...10118at423.png THE END http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6...1101181607.jpg http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6...1101181618.jpg Im not looking for advice or for people to tell me what I should have done...Whats done is done and Iv paid the price. I just wanted to share the progress of my car over the years... The only advice I would give...which is common sense to me as of september 2010 when I lost my job...pay the car off before modding |
phelan- it's your fault...

sorry to see it, but the last sentence of your first post should be heeded by all. You never know whats going to happen in the future no matter how secure you feel now.
I really need to listen to that advice too, although, fortunately, my Z is paid for. In the past, I have poured tons of money into cars before paying them off though, and probably will in the future too. |
Sorry to hear what you are going through. It's true, I'd be screwed if I lost my job as well. In fact, how can anyone finance a car or house for x number of years and guarantee job security at the same time?
Here's to hoping things will get better soon... |
Wow man sorry to see and hear this..
|
beautiful ride...sorry to see it go ! hope for better times ahead
|
did you take out title loans on the car? i am a little curious how after 5 years of payments, the car was still so far from paid off that selling the volks or something couldnt have covered it?
i am not trying to criticize or be a jerk, just curious is all. im sorry to hear about your loss. |

Im not even going into what I should have done. |
I'm really confused about what happened? They repoed the bodywork and wheels, or you just new it was going to get repoed so you stripped all the parts and just let it sit there in that condition for them to come get?
|
Sorry to hear it man. I gota hand it to you, it really takes some balls to make a thread about how your car got repo'd. I don't think i'd be able to do it
|
I guess I came to terms with it about 5 months ago knowing it could happen so it really doesnt bother me at all. I was in complete denial in october and november.

In the end its not effecting my life as much as I thought it would...besides losing a beautiful car and the attachment I had to it. |
This economy stinks, but I am learning slowly that money is nothing. If you can be happy making a certain amount and just living life, then dont stress. Things will pick up, and youll have a bumper on in no time lol.
I remember when I had my Z, I took my bumper off and drove for a bit and ruined my splash gaurds big time, did you remove them? |
sorry to hear about this man... dont be to hard on urself man i know lots of people that pour tons of money on there car even if it hasnt been payed off... i guess its the fact that your just excited you know? to mod it... ill admit that my z isnt paid off as we speak and im modding it :icon14: if i took what i spent on modding it it would have payed off the car

Weird how this came up, I was talking to a 350z owner today and he dropped in a few $$$$ in his car, he asked me so whats the plan for your 370z, I said pay it off before I drop money in it...he looked at me really funny, I know from experience of others this exact same thing happened to my brothers prelude 6 years ago, he invested $$$$$ in that car and he got repo'd because the Army booted him out and didnt have a way to pay it off 5K left still OMG, but your right you shouldnt be ashamed this situation could happen to any one of us, my advice to you is ensure the credit bureaus and the bank do not screw your credit, especially since you been paying it while you were employed for X number of years, start from scratch wait then buy the 390z when they come out if ever, anyway extremely sorry to hear that and good luck to ya
P.S this goverment economy BS is gay to the 5th power, they are spending $$$$$ on making breathalizer's mandatory in every vehicle before you can start your engine, but they wont spend time thinking of a bill or law to protect people who lose their job from situations such as this. Just my 2cents...worthless |
Sorry to see this happen to any Z enthusiast, especially one with an Armenian sounding forum name!
Hope you get back on your feet soon, and are on to your next fun car soon. |

Thanks for sharing this OP. I know it's probably not easy to talk about. Give it some time and I'm sure you'll be driving a Z again. I don't know your financial situation, but I can relate to wanting to add a lot to the Z before it's fully paid for.... something that's not easy to do with so many nice rides on this forum. Luckily I've controlled myself.
|
Yours is my favorite 350z I've seen. What was the name of the front bumper, side skirts and rear spoiler? They look amazing, I hope a front bumper similar to that comes out for the 370z.
Sorry to hear about your loss man, I'm slowly building up my Z and the more personalized it get's the harder it would be to part with it. |

If only you had the government to bail you out. Its funny because your problem is a direct reflection of the crisis this country just went though; specifically the real state market. I'd like to say this is entirely your fault, but its clearly also because of the mentality this entire country carried up to 08. Now you think you've learned your lesson...but the cycle will repeat again and again. Just make sure you don't get caught in it next time around.
|
^^believe me it wont...in the last 6 months my priorities have changed greatly so that helps as well.
The front bumper and sides are chargespeed, the front is V2 long nose and the spoiler is Nismo V2. :) thx guys. |
