Default Reverse Lights

I received 2 LEDs from SuperBrightLEDS.com today and installed them. They are for the reverse lights. The lights I ordered were a pair of 921 Cool White LED bulbs, which can be purchased from here. I was afraid at first because they wouldn't fit all the way into the sockets but they installed without issues. 12 individual LEDs on each bulb make them very bright.

You'll have to take apart some interior panels to get to the lights but it's nothing extensive. I think it's just right amount of light output and I am very satisfied.

The reverse light bulbs are the only ones I haven't replaced with led after seeing that photo I think this is a must.

Good job

Only 12 LEDs in each?

I installed 25 LEDs bulbs in my taillights on my G and while it looked incredibly hot and it got compliments I still feel they weren't as bright as OEM bulbs. I was thinking of stepping it up to 36 LED bulbs.

Not sure about the z but in the G you must remove some of the trim panel to get to the lower nuts/bolts. They are 8mm in size.

Remove the interior paneling in the hatch, once you do so there is a little nut on the inside of the car behind where the tail light sits, this is the third and last bolt to remove the tail light. :-)

That's what I did. I also used this link: DIY Fog lamp install.

Once realize that you not going to hurt your car it goes really quickly. It also helps to have someone to put the car in reverse so you can make sure everything is in working order before putting everything back together.

I just mine today, they are mega bright! Couldn't figure out the tails until I watched the video for the fog light. Too easy to mess up those clips by pulling up!
