In May my GF and I will be taking a trip to Florida and my concern is this... for those of you living in less temperate climates such as Florida, does the suede get stained from sweat?

I have the black interior and do not want to sit down in the car after rollerblading or jogging and have the seats stained. Should I put down a towel for precaution or treat the suede with any products?

Thanks folks
they make this stuff called suede protector. it sprays on and protects against water, stains, etc. probably need to apply it every so often, but it serves its purpose and its inexpensive. find it at any shoe store or the internets.

No need to worry...you're not sitting on suede. You are sitting on Alcantara, which is a composite blend of around 70% polyester and about 30% polyurethane (yes, you heard right - polyurethane). It is a synthetic blend meant to simulate suede but is partly plastic. According to Alcantara's website, they recommend a soft brush for regular maintenance, followed by a damp micro-fiber towel (no cleaning agents).
