What will they think of next

This may not go here but just had to share this cool device.

Azentek - SmartMirror SM 451-B

It's cool, but I wouldn't want it. I'm more of a KISS type of guy. Hell, I am the only person I know in my hospital that still carries a flip-phone without internet access. I just don't like messing with too many gadgets, and I certainly don't want the people around here messing with their rear-view mirror instead of driving--which they can barely do anyway it seems.

Where we're going, we don't need garages.

Junior370z 01-01-2011 06:10 PM

That is pretty cool! Its also distracting without a safety feature.

But can we even hit 88?

Cool idea. I'm installing the Nav tool back up camera solution if it ever arrives. If I did not already have the touring model, with many of these features, I'd consider it.

HA! all we now need is MR. Fusion

shadow2k 01-02-2011 10:41 AM

I'd much rather have the in dash computer. Atlas CPC-1000

WhiskeyHotel 01-02-2011 11:45 AM

It appears Azentek may have gone belly-up.

So true, so true. That is a pretty cool piece of kit but I would find it too far out of my field of vision to feel remotely comfortable fiddling with it while driving.

+1

You want to impress me? Install a HUD GPS with arrow/voice prompts "*blinking arrow pointing right* Turn right in 1/4 mile *slutty nav-girl (or man-whore depending on sex of purchaser) voice*"

THAT would be something!

I like it if for my dd. Yah, definitely needs homelink though.

Red__Zed 01-02-2011 08:57 PM

Interesting idea, kinda feeling 'eh' towards it though...

CBRich 01-04-2011 12:20 AM

Definitely a very techy device but just doesn't seem like something most people would want.
