Very nice job.:)

Any special instructions for those that would be brave enough to attempt this?
Like warming instructions?

I set the oven at 250 and put them in on a damp towel for abot 8-12 min it is a lot easier than i thought. but very stressful.

I also took mine apart today so I can take them to my shop and have the painters take care of the paint work.

I also heated the oven to 250deg then slowly pryed but it was stiffening up as it was getting cold so a second heat for 10 minutes and I could pry it off.

You def. have to be fast once they come out of the oven!! Also I recommend using a flash light to make sure you get all the lint out of the the light cover!!

I got them apart I'm in the process of cleaning up all of the butyl tape so I can apply new when I reassemble.

I'm defiantly planning on this as one of my first mods. Not sure about what method of removing the lens I'm going to do. The oven does seem simple. Just got to make it seem simple in my mind.

I defiantly want the projectors to be color matched to the car, so I might also take those to a body shop. I got a few other things I need matched. But I wonder what I would be charged for a pint of paint?

Does it matter if you clearcoat these? Or is it not called for?

Baer383 01-04-2011 11:32 AM

If you are referring to the inside then no you can finish them anyway you want.
