Default 370Z exterial color and other.......

Hey guys!

This is my second thread and first thread i did get reply from yall and it really helped!!

My question is.......

1. I want to get 370Z with ORANGE exterial coloer and i've been through websites and i've seen orange 370Z that somebody owned and when i go to 370Z website i do not see any option for the colorer orange 370z available maybe they painted their Z? if yes how much would that cost? because orange Z is my favorite!!!

2. I read one of the thread of people wrote about 370Z doesnt have oil cooler in it? well when i get Z in TX i have to drive to NJ for a long distance ride and upcourse i will have to take a rest at some point but since if it doesnt come with the oil cooler in it maybe i should to take a break pretty often every 3 or 4 hours drive high way? or 2011 Z has a oil cooler installed?
or do i have to buy it separatly??

I would love to hear answers from you and God bless 2011 HAPPY NEW YEAR!:

The sunset orange went by the way of the dodo with the 350z. I do not believe that nissan plans to revive that color to my knowledge. Sounds like a custom paint job would be you only route. That being said unless nissan fixes their paint it would not be a bad idea to get a paint job for that custom look. Nissan paint is rather thin and is prone to chips more often than not. As far as a price for a custom color change it depends on what you want. I am looking at getting my black 370 repainted with a house of kolor black that looks like it will cost me upwards of 2k-3k depending on the painter. A full color change will cost more. A simpler way would to be to get a black z and go with orange highlites.

As far as the oil cooler you should not need one to drive long distances. The oil cooler issue is more for modified z's or ones on the track. Nissan does not see this as an issue and do not plan to put one on. If you would like one you could buy one for between 200 and 500 depending on size. you could also build one yourself. search the diy section for those parts you would need. Otherwise you do not need one the most that would happen is the car's computer would go into limp mode until the temps fall but you should never see that unless you are driving on the autobahn.

Welcome to the club and we expect to see pics once you get it.

I think kellyefields gave a great answer. I would add that the oil cooler is more for those that run their rpm's at 4000+ for a couple of minutes. On the freeway drop your rpm's and upshift. You should be fine. Welcome.

You won't need an oil cooler unless you go to track.

What? Running rpms at more than 4,000rpms will invoke the limp mode......that can not possibly be right!

I believe what he meant was that running the rpms higher will increase heat thus causing the limp mode to kick in. You can run your rpms that high but after a while if you do not have an oil cooler it will go into limp mode. there is not an exact time because of many factors, altitude, temperature, etc.

Maybe if you ran it in first all the time and it was super hot outside.... otherwise shifting at 4K is granny shifting and you'll never overheat it.

There are about 1 bazillion (that's more than a billion) and it's a pain to sift through them all but it boils down to if you are tracking the car - as in racing it on a road course then you will need an oil cooler. Normal driving and even AutoX should be no problem.

OP, Not trying to be an A-hole, but I would suggest that next time you do a SPELLED CHECK before you post.

The new nissan 370Z revs to a huge 7500 RPM and in the small letters "reving higher than 4000 causes limp mode and limits you to 4000"

I see you got the word "color" fixed in the title, but now you may want to get that "exterial" word changed to "exterior"
