Try not to look at it as a stylish point of view but a served pupose that helps a car perform. Really no different from tires, suspension, and brake kits even though they look great on a car. These wings to me sort out the real racer at heart. Unless it's on a honda civic(lol).
yeah at 100+mph

sorry but those things are just stupid to have on a DD that goes to the track once in a while.

and while you guys are like "awesome bigass wings on a Z" but then you go "lol wtf bigass wing on a civic"

I think you miss the point. I'm just trying to somewhat discribe the soul purpose. Most go to the track often. So not sure how you see it stupid even if was once in awhile. Depends on what you want to get out of the car while your there. No different to have 500hp for a mostly DD car that goes to the track once in awhile. It's all about the seriousness you want in your ride.

And for the "lol wtf bigass wing on a civic" there is no point, so it is worth laughing at. It's a no hp, fwd, and not even a fraction of a track car to have something of this calibra.

I guess you could take it off for dd. But why? It makes a statment about what your about.
synolimit likes this.

You might want to do some more research.
Civic wings are park benches that add no real purpose, these wings are designed to create downforce and are proven.

Park Benches unless you really track or race your car.

For A street car I would just use something that is like the APR wings when you are at the track and go wingless on the street. Personally I think that is a better Idea. When one of our customers had an APR wing on their car they said they lost about 2-3mpg haha. DOWNFORCE!

I wonder how much downforce I'm getting off of that thing??

I would ask that you hold you're negative comments to threads that are asking for opinions.
You have been pretty active recently and thats fine but if you don't have nothing nice to say move on to another thread.

I am not a big fan of it.

If I had to pick a wing from what I have seen up to now I would actually pick the one the OP posted, its not too big and it seems to flow pretty nicely with the car

Over half of my miles are on the track, so its worth it for me. It does cost me mileage. I don't drive enough on the street to really know how much, but I got 22 on the way up to Road America in October.

I do know that when trailering my car, I have lost 2mpg in the tow vehicle. Future long trips will have me unbolt the wing and put it in the car next season.

In your case I don't mind it you are on the track alot. but I personally think its unneeded when you go to a track once a month or two.

but then again, most can be unbolted like you said.

it just irritates me when im in traffic and I see a subaru or whatever with a big *** aftermarket wing going 30, I just start thinking, why in godsname.

I am more a fan of the more subtle wing.

Some Subaru cars come with massive wings from the factory and they serve a purpose. Besides, why does it bother you when someone takes their money and spends it on an aftermarket part for their car to make themselves feel good?

Now, stick-on-vents should be banned from the roads.

I'm glad the Blue370TTs messages were deleted (well, most). I didn't want to post a 500 word essay on how and why so many Civics run 12 to 10 second quarter miles for a fraction of the cost of the 370Z. It's sad the entire Honda tuner scene has been lumped in with the Rice. I expected more from Z owners especially with how cheap the 350z's are getting.
