Here is a schematic of the JDM rear wiper. It's attached to the hatch itself. You probably do not need to order an entire JDM hatch, you can probably drill a hole into your car and have it installed. More likely there will be markings underneath the US hatch panel that will show where the hole should be. You need the motor, the wiper assembly, and then any wiring will be completely custom. The rear wiper in Japan should (if I am not mistaken) have a relay or fuse that controls it, so you would more than likely need to wire up everything to a blank spot in the underhood fuse box or independently wire everything up with a new switch. Unless you do custom work, you will not be able to have the rear wiper controlled off the steering column stalk switch. It's A LOT of work... But if anyone is truly interested we can get ALL of the parts etc in from Japan!

Joey Z,
You can buy everything, but the problem is the the two wires from the BCM to the wiper motor. The wiper motor has a three wire connector, pin 1 is power , pin 2 not used (not even there), pin 3 is ground and pin 4 is for parking the wiper. You will have to run two wires from the BCM to the hatch on the the left side through the gromet that connects the body to the hatch. Know comes the hard part, I have been unable to find the wires in any manual that shows which connector/s that have the wires that go to the rear wiper motor. One wire from the BCM is for PIN 1 and the other wire is for PIN 4. pin 3 IS EASY IT'S GROUND AND ATTACHES TO THE HATCH DIRECTLY FROM THE MOTOR. If you have any luck finding these two pin locations on the BCM let me know. Best Regards and good luck Javier |

Rear wiper
Let me know if you still have your 370z. I have the rear wiper on mine. I can give you the details on the process. The parts are rather cheap to get your hands on.

Hello TobinH,
Been overseas, just got back. I bought two motors from overseas on ebay. I drilled the hole on the rear hatch. The mounting holes are already in the rear hatch and are threaded inserts. The rear hatch wiring harness and the wiper arm assy, I also bought on ebay from England. Even though the USA BCM in the shop manual says that the rear wiper is turned on. It will not run with that the stalk I also purchased from England. I did create my own work around for this with a switch and relay. The real issue is the hole in the rear hatch glass for the water nozzle. I was able to locate a rear hatch on ebay from overseas being sold in the states. I bought the rear hatch and it came with everything, which made that easy and I had the hatch repainted. My suggestion is try to find the rear hatch on EBAY and have it painted to match your car. The rest is easy, I have the wiring and relay diagram that will make the rear wiper work. |
Tobin you can email me at javbat@hotmail.com and i can send PDF of wiring switch and relay. I have uploaded pics of hazard switch relocation and installation of wiper switch.
