well, the cover itself is actually of really high quality. but they didnt really think about the fact that one of the owners of there Z cars would store it outside for prolonged periods of time in the hot guam sun. the bag the cover came in is the same material as the cover, so i took off the stupid clear plastic rubber thing. and cut out the "nismo" insignia on the bag in the same sized square as the plastic thing was and used a sewing machine to sew it on. it actually looks like its supposed to be there, minus the shitty sewing job...... im a car guy.... not a seamstress.

Nice thinking with the Car cover bag. Sorry to hear about your situation. Hope you forward the pictures of the cover, the car damage and a plain, to-the-point email of the problem and what you want to be satisfied.

like i said before, its very hard to see the damage in a photo, i had a vid but it kept saying invalid file type when i tried to upload..... anyway look closely and you can see the raised area, look for distortion in the reflection. when you finally see it, its really obvious.

here is a pic of that piece of sh1t rubber/plastic thing that used to be on the back end of the cover for the license plate. The other pics are with nothing on it yet, and with the piece of the bag i cut out that said nismo on it in the hole where the plastic thing used to go. i havent sewn it completely on yet "just the bottom part" since ive never used a sewing machine before lol.
as far as an email on what i would want done to be satisfied? i would simply want my money back for the defective product, and word passed to nissan that this happens! so until they make a revised version of the cover, anyone that lives in a hot sunny environment that leaves a cover on there car for more then a few days need to avoid this purchase or face the same consequences i did. |

the "HOLE" is oversized for some stupid reason so its actually larger then a license plate. so it actually overlaps that indented area that your license plate sits into on the back of the z. that, couple with the fact that wind will slightly shift the covers position over time. it wouldnt have been a problem if they didnt make the hole twice the damn size of an actual license plate. i think there intention was to make it the exact same size as the indented area on the back of the car..... why? or what they were thinking? i have no idea, it just turns it into a damn greenhouse and fries the hell out of the car.

here is 2 pics, both the inside and the outside of the back of the cover with the improvised nismo patch from the carrying bag all sewn on and ready to use..... dont make fun of the stitching.... ive never used a sewing machine before. it looks exactly the same as it did before when placed on the car, just no more clear license plate thing that melts your paint!!!

I remember getting a license plate holder with my FI CBE and it was WAAAAAY too small to hold my license plate. I guess they make one size of the plastic for all |

thats what ive been saying!! its a stupid design idea...... who gives a **** if you can see the license plate number of someones parked covered car. IMO people should be less invasive nosy douchebags and just leave others property alone? and designs like this will never get through the development stages.
