flashing brake lights

so i come home tonight and start doing dinner and the neighbor calls and says my brake lights are flashing. sure enough they are. cant find anything about it online.

Default flashing brake lights

so i come home tonight and start doing dinner and the neighbor calls and says my brake lights are flashing. sure enough they are. cant find anything about it online. i started the car and turned it off... no dash warning lights were on and the brake lights went off. wtf?

Default

Check the brake switch attached to the pedal. Make sure it hasn't come loose, and that the spring is pushing the pedal all the way up. If the switch itself is bad it is an easy replacement, covered under warranty.

okay thanks for the info.

no aftermarket alarm, its all factory. i did however just get it back from the body shop because a lady hit me so i guess they need to fix it.
