Wiring solution for heated seat switch
I have a two part question:
1. Does anyone know/have a diagram for the electrical terminals for the heated seat switch? I'm trying to determine which is power to the switch, if there is a separate connection for the indicator light, power out, and ground. B. How might I go about making connections to these terminals without the connector/coupling (or, can I get the coupling someplace?)? (OK, that was three questions:ugh2:) I'm going to use the "low" side of the switch to power up the "solid on" function of my EVO-R LED foglight. Thanks! :tiphat: |
professordave- if the service manual does not say, i would use my volt meter to find a common ground, then use a 9V alkaline battery to see if one of the configurations would lite up the indicator in the switch. :) since the LED takes very little power to light (i am assuming) you dont need to worry about a relay, etc. any on/off configuration would work for your LED.

Yes, I located the crimp style connectors for attaching to the spade connectors on the heated seat switch. They are from Canadian Tire part # 20-6929-8
16-14 awg female disconnects in .110" size (almost 1/8") I plan on building a harness myself that will turn off the VSS and turn on the BackUp camera via the seat heater switch. Needs a relay to disconnect the vss though as the circuit needs to be broken not made.... |
