lol most epic threadjack...
but back to your question OP, I believe its black, I have a few DEEP rock chips on the front and it looks black to me. =( |
So then getting a black one wouldnt show chips/scratches that much??

well... previously i had a black 350z, and the rock chips on my front bumper showed a lot more for some reason when you looked at it a few feet away. but after a buff/wax treatment it was a lot less visible. on my white z, it might be because i have very few deep dings, youll barely notice it unless its spotted for you. |

Well I was referring to the fact that based on the damage there isn't nething in between from what i can see, but if it's black then I'm probably not gonna see it that easily!

The plastics are black, not even sure they have an undercoat (could explain some of the color match issues). The metal panels seem to use a grey undercoat.

:iagree:

undercoat is based off the color of your car according to ppg paint manual, there are 3 main undercoats: g1 white, g5 grey, g7 black and 2 mixes g3 light grey, g6 dark grey. if you have a pearl white or yellow most likely its white, blues and reds probably grey, black or dark cherry most likely black. have your local body shop look up your paint code and see what the exact undercoat is.
