When I hear the rattle, I push down on the top of the shift boot and the rattle goes away. I think if the knob could tighten down another eight of an inch or so the rattle would disappear.

I bought the delrin version as well to test this theory out. It should arrive to me next Monday or Tuesday. Will change out the shift knob and post results. If it is the knob itself...then using the delrin one should eliminate the vibrations since it is technically a polymer...aka...plastic. |

LOL...check first though. This is only what I think it is....if you can experiment and come up with the source location and its the same...then go for it. I have tried to dremel it...but the "bit" doesnt grind cleanly. Actually....I suck in regards to the usage....

My stock setup rattles from time to time, very annoying. I can duplicate it by wiggling the shifter back and forth.........it sounds like a plastic or nylon bushing tapping metal.
