Default Driver's side floor soaked

2010 Anniversary edition with 5k miles. The car has had a musty smell for a few weeks now and couldn't figure out why. Come to find out that the floor board on the driver's side is soaked. Every morning, wake up to a smelly car and wet carpet. No fluids, just water.Anybody had any issues with similar leaks in the car?

if your window was all the way up (check when you close the door to make sure it is still inching up afterwords) and if it is, then you either have a leak from your windshield seal or the drain line for condensation from the A/C evaporator is clogged (<-- my guess)

A/C evap is usually on the passenger's side. Can't swear to it on this car, but any other car that I've had is that way.

that is usually true^^ but who knows... water getting dumped into the passenger compartment without any window leaks is 99% of the time a clogged drain pipe

that'd be pretty much correct, but highly unlikely on such a new car. the car could be missing the nipple tube that goes on the end of the drain to direct water out. without it, water will run back down the drain nipple and into the car.

Clogged cowl drain would be my guess.

I had soaked carpets for a couple weeks before realizing it started after I had some audio equipment installed.

Whether or not you've upgraded the audio, make sure the "firewall plug" is still in place. Water drips down the windshield and almost perfectly filters into that little hole.

Interesting. I did have some audio work done a few weeks ago. I dropped the car off today at the dealership to fix various issues. I'll make sure to relay these thoughts. Thanks guys for feedback!!

This happened with my Civic. I shot some compressed air up into the outlet and it was resolved. For now at least.

Dealership confirmed that the firewall plug was not replace properly when I had the amplifier installed. Just a little silicone and it should be resolved.

Pulled up the carpet and found a virtual greenhouse under there. The moisture from the leak has ruined the carpet, liner and rusted some of the hardware. tried to seal with silicon but don't know if that will work. The shop that installed the stereo is playing stating that ,"Their only human and make mistakes." No arguing with that, just pay to fix the problem!!! ($1,950 worth of damage)
