looks pretty smooth.

what type of paint and prep procedure did you use to black out the nissan badges? also... any closeups of your headlights? (sorry, i also have a black 370z and am contemplating the blacked out headlights and badges)

did you add a remote battery post so you can hookup jumper cables/charger if your battery dies?

GZ3 11-09-2010 03:42 PM

that look awesome! how do you open the door?

you don't, you roll down the windows, and jump in dukes of hazzard style

if you go into my build thread, there are a lot of pix of everything. link is in my sig. to paint the emblems i just cleaned them with rubbing alcahol and us black engine paint laying around. i did like 4 thin coats. it actually looks really good and only took a few minutes and the paint isnt chipping at all, its been like that for months

oh and if the battery does happen to die, there is a hidden cable and if pulled, the door pop open. its hard to get to though

everything out the door cost me $530. my fiance's cousin hooked it up and did a great job imo. there is a little gap between the door and the rear panel, but its close, and couldnt get it close. regardless it looks good and im happy with it

haha i love that pic too ryan

I gotta tell you those are some nice pictures. I love the shaved handle, but I dont think I could live without door handles lol. I would love to do the GTR handles on the z, but going down sort of like the b pillars do. I think that would look clean, and have functionality.

Well done, and whoever did the work well done to them also.

ThoriumHotdog 11-09-2010 05:09 PM

Nice. :) It looks slippery without handles.

Looks sick man!

christian370z 11-09-2010 05:34 PM

That looks absolutely gorgeous; the car definately looks better without them however I don't know if I could be 100% living without door handles! Really though, that is one sleek black beauty.

Lemers 11-09-2010 06:05 PM

So looks good. But i like keeping my keys in my pocket.

Wait, you have a fiance AND a wife?! How do you find time to drive your Z?! :icon17:

Zerafian 11-09-2010 06:07 PM

thats not a bad price for some fine work to be honest...$265 a side and that had to have taken at least 5-10 hrs her side to do.

KaienZ34 11-09-2010 06:30 PM

Damn that's so hot !!!!

3SeventyZ 11-09-2010 07:39 PM

JDW1479 11-09-2010 08:12 PM

shabarivas 11-09-2010 10:21 PM

Looks awesome dude - I am sure thats going to be a safety concern for track days but wow it looks amazing. Debated what this would look like on a black Z w/ gold rims and BOOM iLive2Win to the rescue.

ilive2win 11-09-2010 10:30 PM

i asked the scca autocrossing here about the doors and i have to tell them where the cable is to pop the doors open. so i can still auto x but not sure about real track days. i dont think the real track will allow my doors

Marco_xyz 11-09-2010 10:33 PM

Did the body work personnel end up painting the entire door or did they just fade the new paint with the old in the door handle area?

I can only give you one rep point for this, but you deserve two:

1) First out of the hopper to shave.
2) Pics and post.

All others who have not added your rep point for this...hop to it!
