Like everyone else I would like to see a good carbonfiber hood with vents that keeps the stock hood lines. I have also been looking for some well built
F1 style front fenders like I have for my 300zx. But some small items that would be nice is really carbonfiber panels not the cheap stick on junk everyone else makes. Like maybe really carbonfiber side mirrors or some interior panels around the dash and head unit. Anything that is well built and replaces the part and does not just covers it up. idk just some ideas. |
In for Z products

You should gt in touch with MRWorks about the possibiliy of doing their GTR Fenders. I know the reason they were looking for someone domestic they could trust with quality control and cost.
Their fenders would look badass in carbon. |
carbonfiber headlight housing!

I would buy a CF Roof Replacement if you guys made one... It would be one of the easiest parts to make too.

The other fender style I love is when there are vents on the lower section like the Amuse Nismo 380RS. Those would be my first choice if they could integrate into the stock body work (or Nismo side skirt in my case) : http://image.modified.com/f/24742576...lmr_wheels.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...2010-2-496.jpg Quote:

Functional rear diffuser, front lip, rear "lip" wing, all functional but not overly done.
Wing similar to the stock + mines add on except one piece carbon would be awesome. A not overly done front lip like the evo r, nothing ridiculous. Maybe some carbon fiber inteerior or engine bay pieces? |
Oh yea, OEM-looking rear valence cover please. I never got mine from SpawnAero :(

Here's another rendering of the fender on a 370 from 370ZTunes signature image:

Also agree on the fender, and an option to have the Z light or not.

A nice subtle widebody kit like bullit describes. mmmm the thought of 6" lips.... |
Yes! Really liking the fender style here, and the GTR style of MR Works....
Carbon fenders would be a big seller as they are the one area that the major bodykit companies have pretty much totally overlooked so far when making parts for the 370z. Quote:

If you hook-up with MRWorks for their GTR fenders, I'd take a set.

Me too

I can pretty much promise you, that if the price is reasonable you will get at least 10 pre-orders for the fenders. This is what the fenders looked like http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/690/mrgt.jpg and mounted on the car http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/7062/95871501.jpg Here is the thread where they introduced the fenders, you can see for youself what kind of interest was generated and the positive feedback. http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...t-fenders.html Please contact Ryan or Marco, I've done business with them in the past regarding headlights and they were very professional and a pleasure to deal with every step of the way. I would suggest PM'ing Marco to touch base with him... |
I got his email, Ill shot him a message tomorrow at work. It seems I cant intiate a PM to members? Maybe because I am new? or am I missing something?...

Hojo, I'm in town now, but am leaving for Cali to go see my car. This might not be a good week for me and the following week I'm out of town again. But after that, anytime would be good to discuss whatever you want. :tiphat:

Hojo go ahead and become a premium member there is plenty of work for you guys here on the site. Or start out as a sponsor... The list of products you guys could make is LONG!
For Example: 1: CF Hood keeps clean lines but with Vents 2: CF Front Fenders stock width 3: CF Front Fenders stock width with Vent 4: CF Front Fenders 1" (+25mm) wider width 5: CF Rear Fenders 2" (+50mm) wider width 6: CF Roof Overlay 7: CF Roof Replacement 8: CF Hatch Stock 9: CF Hatch with a Duck bill spoiler built in like (Welcome to Vorsteiner) These guys own the BMW market! 10: CF Working Rear Diffuser 11: CF Interior Pieces 12: CF C pillars 13: CF B pillars 14: CF Doors 15: CF Front Spoiler/Lip and the list goes on and on... I know there are proably about 5-10 hood designs that people want and about 4-5 Fender designs... A good question from us is what is your pricing schedule like? to give you an example our roof overlays retail around $800 now if you made one for under that price say $600~$700 you would get a lot of buyers. If you price it right you will have a long back order list I promise you that!!! |

And we still need a company to come up with a A pillar with pods for those of us that have or are planning to go FI.

Since we are talking wishlist I would love to see a dry carbon overlay for the diffuser section of the Nismo rear bumper (the part facing the road with the fins). Maybe with longer fins too:

A carbon fiber oem steering wheel

Another reason to pursue this is because other companies have already made kits for every other part of the 370z, the fenders have been totally ignored on the 370z as far as I know... |
:iagree: 100%

but! make the fenders(if you do) actually lighter than the oem ones lol..i've seen too many companies make carbon fenders for a car(wanted to get one for my eclipse gsx when i had it) and they ended up being the same weight if not more! when i was lookin to get an evo x (bought the Z instead hehehe!) a company came out with really nice quality and fitment carbon fenders..but the same weight..so pleaseeeee make them actually lighter if you go that route lol..and the same for the hood and well, anything else you make lol.. when i had my s2000(car before this) a lot of companies were making carbon fiber hoods, and most of them weighed more than the stock hood! so please consider this, thank you :) -Dan |

What most would consider acceptable pricing:
1: CF Hood keeps clean lines but with Vents ($800-$1500) 2: CF Front Fenders stock width ($600-$900) 3: CF Front Fenders stock width with Vent ($600-$900) 4: CF Front Fenders 1" (+25mm) wider width ($800-$1000) 5: CF Rear Fenders 2" (+50mm) wider width ($800-$1000) 6: CF Roof Overlay ($600-$800) 7: CF Roof Replacement ($1000) 8: CF Hatch Stock ($600-$900) 9: CF Hatch with a Duck bill spoiler built in like ($700-$1200) 10: CF Working Rear Diffuser ($400-$600) 11: CF Interior Pieces (depends on part) This is an idea of what the market pricing looks like... people may be willing to pay more but the lower the price the more units you will move. A proper set of fenders and even wider fenders is what people are really craving on the site. Also, look to several people on the site who have done designs for the car as we are the customer and we have the same tastes and mindsets as your potential customers. Also, the pre-order idea is fantastic and will get your initial costs covered in the first run. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions I would be more than willing to help. Mike |
