Default Hatch/Trunk Problems

I'm not sure if it's only happening to me or some of you guys. I've been experiencing my hatch not opening all the way being stuck after I press the button and it pops up. 8 out of 10 times I try to open my trunk the hatch, when I try to open it once it pops, the hatch is stuck and is not fully opened.

Anyone experiencing this same problem?
Sorry in advance if there's a thread on this. I was too lazy to find it lol.

Here you go. If you were too lazy to find this, then you're definitely going to be too lazy to read all 43 pages.

is this the issue where you push the hatch button on the trunk and you have to hit it again to open the hatch?

if so take the black spring off, remove the boot, drop 2-3 pennies in there (each) and re-assemble. works better than the TSB.

yeah when i hit the button it pops up i try pulling the hatch up. but something feels like it's grabbing onto the hatch and won't let me open it all the way.

ill try that later today once i'm off class thanks !

Penny trick definitely works. Getting the new springs works too.

It's free if you convince the dealer it's an issue (prove to them that it does not work in their presense) Problem is, it's an intermittant issue and it may just work when you take it into them.
