Aftermarket piece to cover the fog light hole?

I'm currently debating on buying a 370z. I love absolutely everything about it, except for the rear hole... which i find to be hideous. I tried searching, but came up with something. Hopefully someone can give some insight about there being a custom bumper and/or piece to cover the whole completely

I simply bought the rear fog and installed it without wiring it. It completes the aesthetic look of the rear fascia and who cares if you have a working fog? Pretty happy for now and I can always wire it up later.

Is its' function to keep you from being rear ended in foggy conditions?

.

Yes. Or at least to help them get a better aim at you.

I must challenge the word functional in this case. Well unless you are in to that sort of thing.

While this is a good idea, the red fog light isn't my cup of tea either.

There are absolutely 0 aftermarket body kits/rear bumpers that cover it?

black it out or have it color matched to your car. My car is black, so it doesn't really bother me but maybe that will help.

The rear fascia from the Nismo 370z gets rid of the rear fog light if I'm not mistaken.

If this isn't what you're looking for then I don't know. :icon14:

Jeffblue 10-20-2010 03:44 PM

real life Photoshop:ugh2:

Jeffblue 10-20-2010 03:56 PM

i suppose you could theoretically have it bondo'd and repaint the whole bumper.

One bad scrape / flex or a really cold night = cracks all over the bumper. I wanted to get the EVOR rear diffuser and bondo it since they refuse to sell one w/out that fog light hole. But after thinking about it more - i decided to wait it out for someone to actually make one.

haha. More functional as a 4th brake light. Keeps you from getting rear ended all the time...not just in fog.

phunk 10-20-2010 09:04 PM

while im not a fan of that hole or light there either... honestly, if thats all thats stopping you from buying a car.......

JB1 10-21-2010 11:03 PM

Or you can blackout the rear valance, if the car ismanymother color then black of course. Paint or bluebatmobile vinyl will work. That way the Blacked out fog light doesn't stand out as much
