Default Can someone post a picture of the rear cargo cover that retracts?

The dealership promised they would order and install it on my car as part of my deal and it arrived and they say it won't fit cause it's not the Touring package! I'm guessing that they realized that it will require some trim panel replacement on the hatch and near that center brace! (or more money)

That's nonsense. It is held in place by two end brackets for the retracting cover tube, and two clips in the hatch where the cover affixes. They probably only ordered the tube with the cover in it and none of the brackets.

Yeah, I was going to buy one of these myself too, but I now realize that the panel pieces need to be replaced or cut. Here are some pics I took while in the dealership a few wks ago.

I dont know, looks like we'd need, at least the brackets that go b/w the bar with the rollup cover, and the paneling inside the car. But if I remember correctly, looking at my interior, there you'd have to drill into the panels, as there's no holes or placement for holes in there, and then, there's probably nothing behind the panel, to actually secure the bracket to.

Anyone have any ideas?

I know! I've caught them in multiple "bullcrap" escuses for things I request with them not realizing I know how things work! Each time they come through but not without me letting them know how it is! I'm going to have to get part numbers and "how to" info to them I guess!! The sales staff don't even know their product that well!
That's not allowed at the dealership I work at! I guess each manufacturer does things differently!

Thanks for the pictures k.alexander!!

Do you have any pics of the hatch where the cover stays attached when hatch is open? I may need to get these part numbers using a VIN.

Can you keep us updated on your progress. I really would like to get the cover myself for my base model as well. Thanks

Thanks. Btw, how much is all this costing? When I was picking up the cargo net at the dealership, I had the parts department look up the price. He said the two trim panels are about $100 a piece, which I thought was rather reasonable. But then he told me that the cargo cover itself was something like $325 (and then there were other parts that would be needed). I'm still finding it hard to swallow that the net is over 300 dollars, and more like $600 altogether

Well it's installed, so first it can definately be installed!
I had an arrangement to have it covered for me since my mileage was higher then promised when delivered (dealer trade). All I can do is provide part numbers needed.

the two side panels:
76900-1EA1A
76901-1EA1A
the rear hatch trim:
90901-1EA1A
The actual retractable cover that attaches to these trim peices I do not have since they ordered it by itself initially. I can get it but that's alot easier to get anyway.
I did notice that they damaged my pass side illuminated kick panel!! They better replace it without a hassle!

Thanks kevr6. I gotta look into the cost of all of these, from somewhere like courtesyparts.com. But if it's anything like $500 or $600, I think I'll skip it and just tint my rear window more

Thanks again for your help.

Default Cargo cover

Hi, I've done some research myself but for some reason the part nos you provided are complete different than what I have found. You can find all the parts for the cargo cover you need.

That picture looks like it shows the trim that attaches to the crossbeam, not the side panels that hold the retracting cover or the back hatch panel that holds the cover when pulled out for usage. It does shoe the actual retracting cover...but nothing that goes with it. The metal is the brace with the trim peices on the end...the cover starts behind that...see pic!

Trying to get this done on a 2010 Nismo 370Z. Anyone else have any luck getting dealer or other shops to install the cargo _cover_ (not net).

Would really like to have this done as I am frequent traveler and sometimes leave car @ airport with stuff in trunk.

Thanks!
