LOL, thanks. I just realized that right now after going through this thread: spacers

I want to run spacers without having to remove the stock studs. 20mm bolt-on spacer up front and 25mm bolt-on spacer on the rear with the stock 19'' sport package Rays wheels. From my research, there's enough of a recess on the back of the wheels to clear the stock studs w/ the bolt-on spacers.

I'm now a bit worried about this vibration issue some people are experiencing with the front spacers. Has anyone had any hub issues? Doesn't spacers add stress to the stock hubs?

Hey Kenny, I've been running the Ichiba v2 spacers 20mm frt rr for a good while, and have had no issues.

kenny- for the front 20mm, find my posts where you need to grind the wheel disc area by about 1.5mm. they dont clear the stock studs without this slight mod.

I just installed 20mm front and rear Ichiba bolt on spacers and am having vibration issues with the front too. I know it's the front because I ran the rears only first with no issues.

I used my Dremel to dig some grooves where the stock lugs protrude but I guess I didn't do good enough because the vibration is still there.

I would be interested in reading your post as well kenchan.

I did exactly as you described in that thread but I guess I didn't grind down enough. I am going to try again this weekend.

Just get the stud replacement H and Rs . It is not hard and after you do it , you will know how to change your brakes if you don't already...

Its an hour of your time to make your Z drive like it should.. Bolt ons are sketchy and 90 percent of the time vibrate and cause the wheel to shake a little bit once going 70+ mph...

A shop should charge an hour labor tops to install them if you need to go that route, but the DIY on here are perfect... On my base with no akebonos once the caliper and rotor were off there was no modding needed to install them...

But this is coming from someone who sold my front spacers and have taken two weeks + to get the front studs off. More because of this horrible NY weather but it is a pain, but not that hard and certainly not impossible for anyone with no experience working on cars to do.

Ever since switching to the builtin stud spacers 5yrs ago, haven't looked back. The convenience of swapping out different sizes and no vibrations is great. I use eibachs in the front, kics on the rear. I've used ichibas too with no vibration issues.
