Even more interesting if it's real.

I got my Vision knob and put it on yesterday. It is outstanding. It is comfortable, it fits my hand nicely, has good leverage, the cutouts are interesting and gives a different feel under acceleration. The Contour knob was nice, but this is much better to me. The red gives a nice bit of color, too.

So I have the Z1 Motorsports M-Spec Shift Knob Kit and my wife and I are not fans of it at all.. mainly because the top of the knob is sharp when you grab it (both my wife and I are over the top type grabbers) and it becomes very uncomfortable to use.

Anyone on here USED to have the Z1, and went to a knob that they thought was better? I'm half thinking of just getting an OEM knob but they are $$$ for a new one; plus I've never driven on an OEM one so not 100% sure I would enjoy it any more than the Z1.

Any advice is welcome on what I might want to replace the Z1 with!

Look on Raceseng website. They have a bunch of different styles and make quality shift knobs.

To add to the above advice, I like the OEM know, other than it is too tall. So if you are not able to find a Raceseng you like, the Hebi Bebi knob or it's copy (see my post 373) is the best knob (IMO) for both over the top shifters, as you it it short, fits welt into the palm and has the edges to grab with your fingers. These things are very subjective of course.

Has anybody tried the 350z shift knob? I cant seem to find any pictures of one installed. It seems a bit wider and thicker than ours. (insert joke here)

I actually like the imprinted gears on the knob. I would hate to buy another oem just to have it wear down in a few years again.

lol, no problem. I am more afraid that the 350z shift knob wont go with the profile of the interior. The aluminum on our looks polished and the 350z looks more brushed. Not sure how noticeable it would be.

I am in texas and I have heard the stories of metal shift knobs getting hot enough to burn your hand in the summer. I did talk to a mustang owner who kept a towel that he would throw on top of his when he got out of the car.

The Raceseng knobs come with a cloth cover to put on when parked.
The metal ones do get hot.
