Just send him an email and ask what the progress is. I had to wait a little longer like you did to get mine. I think it was a little over 2 weeks because of the backlog and like you said it is only him doing everything. It's worth it so don't worry it'll get to you.

Yeah. I’ve already emailed him a few times. I guess you’re right. I think the wait will be worth it.

Nice! Is that the one from the Lithuanian vendor? How’s the leather quality? Does it screw on tight?

Yes, it is the one from Lithuania. The leather seems good to me. Maybe not quite as soft as the oem knob, but good enough for me. Can’t beat the looks imo. If you want one, better act now. Looks like they’re down to the last one.

BTW, the red ring below it is a finisher I got from Z1.

Got a pic? Would love to see it.

This is the GRFX
https://grfxp.myshopify.com/collecti...pec-shift-knob

This is the Tommy Kaira https://dsgperformance.files.wordpre...ira-shift5.jpg

Basically, its the same design as the TK without the logo. The GRFX is heavier and about 1/4 the price

Jetsimple 03-07-2019 05:56 PM

My personal preference is a leather feel, but that TK is pretty nice. That’s a helluva markdown on the GRFX though. $300 to $55.

They have never been $300. Regular price was always $100. Marketing trick. Still a great deal, even if it is really only 45% off. I think I paid $60 for my used one.

Agreed on GRFX. Great weight and feel.

You might be hard-pressed to find one in 10x1.25. I think I got the last one a couple of months ago, but let me know if you hear more come in. Certainly wouldn’t mind having another color

OptionZero 03-07-2019 10:46 PM

Yeah, the tough part of GRFX is the inconsistent stock. They sorta randomly do batches in sizes/colors and dont take stuff to order

still way cheaper than the TK, and i don't like the logo anyways

Luckily i got the brushed finish i wanted when it was in stock

I would have to say the best shifter knob I ever used was at a track event using the Nardi Personal Ambition Aluminum Shifter Knob with the black perforated leather option it is excellent quality and worked very well for me.

I really like my Shift Solutions SB knob, black wrinkle powedercoat. It's 630g, which is fairly heavy, but seemed to help smooth shifts out a little. May have been in my head, but I like it. Threads fit perfectly and there's not a blemish anywhere on it. The quality is great.
