Promised Jay [EVO-R] I would start a new thread for him about the SHIFT KNOB
![]() Installation is simple... Step 1: Twist OEM shift knob off (counter-clock wise) It will take a GREAT amount of force to twist off the OEM shift knob because of the amount of loctite Step 2: Twist on your new knob ![]() Here are some pictures taken with my iPhone... sorry for the crappy quality I will be retaking them with my DSLR later on today. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That doesn't look very good with the stock boot & doesn't really match anything on the interior.

when i did my G's knob (TWM) i ran into the same stuation with the boot.
i bought a MOMO shift boot which comes with a conal shaped rubber ring inside that shapes the boot at the top where it meets the knob. i think something like that will make your knob/boot look more finished. ![]() here's wat i mean in my G: ![]() |

im happy with the Z's stock knob, the height, and the action of the stock shifter so not sure if i will be changing the knob on my car.
the G35C's stock knob was light, shifter was notchy so i bought the weighted TWM knob, raised the height of the knob by about 1". it feels great. ![]() the MOMO boot i got locally for like $70, but im sure you can find them cheaper online. |

jeff- thanks for the rep.
![]() another approach is CF knobs like the one NYJon has. not sure if they are weighted though. |
