Poor Stillen Side Skirt fitment
I have my car at the bodyshop to get my aero pieces installed. I have Stillen canards, front lip, side skirts and SS rear spoiler. They test fitted everything and the side skirts have fitment problems. Anybody else have the side skirts?
The material just behind the door is too thick. I tried to upload pics here but they are bitmaps and exceed the limit. |

I had the same problems, also even after prepping where the double sided tape attachs across the top, the tape at the top of the side skirt started peeling off the side skirt in the 100+ degree heat we had over the summer. The body shop I use (been going to them for 15 years) ended up having to epoxy the top to get them to stay.

Thanks for your replies. As for links to the pics I don't know how to post them to a link. I agree that the stock tape doesn't seem to be strong enough and I will consider both options. My biggest problem is that the skirts seem to be too thick from the back edge of the door to about halfway to the end of the skirt(approx. 4 inches) it sticks out between 1/4 and 1/2".

I gotta say, I am a little unhappy with whats going on with stillen lately. I mean the products just seem a bit halfa.. if you know what I mean? I would call them up and tell them the issue, maybe it was a bad batch?

Yeah that is pretty bad, Honestly though the products have their issues. I would call Stillen and see if they can send you another, as one thing I know is they do take care of their customers. Just call them and tell them whats up, I would definitely send them these pictures.
