Seems like there is enough of a demand for something, but I've yet to see any real options. I've seen that one pic before that someone above posted, no likey.

Anybody know the part number for the G37 shifter boot? I'd like to incorporate that int othe existing parts -- it will be clear with that small and stylish boot that no one is pretending they have a MT for street cred or whatever

Couple suggestions...
1. Looking at the GT-R shift knob, it doesn't have a boot, but is much shorter. Perhaps the shifter can be modified so there isn't quite so much sticking up -- that would look a lot better. 2. Get a G37 shift boot and modify it. 3. Pick up any other AT shifter boot from ebay and modify it. I think the AT boots tend to be a little narrower than the MT ones, and that will both look at fit better.

Alright so.. since no one is doing it. I guess I'll go ahead and try it..
So.. currently it looks like this. Since I did the "swap" I'm about to take the whole thing apart again and add a shift boot to it.. What do you guys think about this shift boot. Do you guys think that the metal ring will fit with our shifter? be super clean and nice if it did. if it din't than oh well I can some how rig it to. Feed backs please.. before I buy it

Ask the seller to measure it for you. I have really been looking into this myself the AT consol in this car looks so stupid.

Unless you have $215 to just play with? don't bother. I already went to the dealership and asked. The only way we can play with the GTR shift knob is if someone is nice enough to let us borrow ours.
Cause I know for a fact the G37 Auto knob fits our cars.. hopefully the GTR's does too.. it slides off the same way as ours. As shown below YouTube - 2009+ Nissan GTR Shift Knob Removal....

I had this done on my 350Z. Momo Knob + Redline Leather boot. In order to get the knob sitting lower, you have to remove the blue plastic piece once you take off the knob. It was blue on the 350Z, could be a different color on the 370Zs auto. It's basically a little plastic stick that slips in the middle of the knob/shifter assembly. Slipping the Momo knob over the shifter without the plastic stick will allow it to sit low.

I had a boot on my automatic 97 3000GT SL from Shift boot store - RedlineGoods leather shift boots
Edit: Actually found pics of my old car on their website: If you are interested in one, I am sure they could make something up for you. The quality of their leather and workmanship is TOP NOTCH! ~John Last edited by Jerggy13; 05-08-2011 at 04:55 AM. |

I'm not a fan of the big poofy looking boots. I'd like to have one that just covers up the chrome stick while leaving the PNDR visible, as on the G37. Shame it won't fit
