Interest in wide angle side mirror lenses?
So we sourced a company in Japan that sells replacement sideview mirror lenses. The replacements are blue tinted to reduce nighttime glare and have a slightly convex shape to convey a more wide-angle rear view. These are OEM replacements designed to replace the OEM sideview mirror lens.
For 2010 owners, it seems that these are also compatible with the OEM heating elements with small modifications. As the minimum order is 10 sets, we are trying to see if there's an interest in bringing these over to market. Price range would be around $250/pair shipped. |

if it is from japan, wouldn't the sides be reversed? you know, how the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" side is one the driver side? if this isn't the case, im damn sure interested!

I am interested but not interested in trying to modify mine to try and get them to work. If they release a newer version for 2010s that do not require modification then I will definitely buy it.

What kind of modification is needed to fit the heating elements? If it is easy enough, I am interested.

I'd love to get a "normal" view mirror for the right side. Hate the mirrors that distort. My brain doesn't work well that way. Maybe 'cuz my brain is distorted.

Since these are a factory replacement, and not stick-overs, you will need to the take the mirror assembly apart, and most likely take a heat gun to soften the existing mirror adhesive to its separate housing and remove it; then clean any remaining in adhesive off; remove protective adhesive sheet from the replacement and press into the existing housing; reassemble mirror into outer housing. The Service Manual has a section on Mirrors.

To answer the question about the actual mirrors being JDM/RHD I do think that since both mirrors are wide angle it should be fine and not throw off the view. I ran JDM wide angle replacements over my stock mirrors on my previous vehicle without any issues. |

If these are OEM mirrors, then why don't they already have the heating elements built into them?
Also waiting for word on the 'OBJECTS APPEAR LARGER' clarification. |
