Interior Lights

Have any of you guys put l.e.d's down under the dash where your feet and passenger are and tie them into the dome light circuit.
If so please give some insight.

Someone did a Nissan Cube mod that illuminates this area. Shouldn't be too hard to obtain. If you're looking for a more plug and play setup the JDM Z34 comes with amber lighting in the footwell areas as an option.

2theExtreme is the one who had the Cube lighting system installed in his Z.

 Sure did! Unfortunately I don't have any really good photos but I can certainly post what I do have....and yes, the little plastic protector on the foot rest has been removed since this photo was taken:

I could only get 1 photo to copy for me....:ugh2: Here is the link to my cardomain page: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3801214

Just scroll down and there are 3 photos from when I had the Cube lighting kit installed. I keep it on blue but I can change the colors if I want. I think it has 20 color options. I haven't changed it since I set it on blue. :icon17: The body shop also installed the little knob that is pushed to turn the lights on in my car. And then I just rotate it and it changes color. Here is a video from when I got my Start button and Airbag button switched to blue.....I turned the Cube lighting kit on at the same time:

Hey Baer, I see you are in GA. Will you be @ Z Nationals next week? I'm heading down there, too. Hopefully I can show you my car in person. Let me know!

So, back about that cube lighting... :D

What's the quick version of how much it cost and what's it like to install ?

I actually purchased the kit from one of our sponsors, Lou Fusz. It can easily be purchased online at any Nissan site or just do a Google search. I believe the kit runs about $200. Saw it for $203 on eBay but as much as $245 on Nissan Cube Accessory websites.

The body shop said it wasn't too difficult to install however Lou Fusz did have to assist in sending me the diagnostics for the wiring in an 09 370Z and 2010 Cube. It helped the shop to determine what the 4 wires running off the Cube kit should be running into on the Z. I can't say how long this one project took for them because they had my Z for several days as I was getting additional upgrades done at the same time. I can find out for you the next time I talk with the shop if you'd like. Just let me know.....and I hope I was able to answer your questions.

I like how the blue acts almost like a blacklight, and shows all the dirt and specks of dust and crap on your carpet :bowrofl:
