Tow Hooks?

Where are some good places to get the front tuner looking tow hooks for the fang area

I think GT Motoring was selling these for a while. There should be a thread floating around somewhere. Other than that try Moonface or Carbing.

kenchan, I don't know what the limit would be. It is an aluminum eye, as I believe the other one is also. I would say to be safe the eye should be steel or titanium, right?

kenchan 09-17-2010 03:48 PM

yah, it would suck if you actually pulled the car from the grass or pits and it just snapped apart... :icon14:

and if it's discoloring in the sun no good as decoration either... :icon14: :icon14:

bullitt5897 09-17-2010 04:17 PM

I hope this will not be used on the street! I have seen cars get stolen that way and it looks ricer... Nothing screams "I crash my car like a tow hook" Im srry I dont even have one installed for track days... *knock on wood desk* yeah its in the car but I feel its bad MOJO to have it installed... Call it the racer in me

kenchan 09-17-2010 04:19 PM

hahaha kinda like wearing a hard hat. no i-beam will ever fall on me outside the construction site. :D

Thats totally different... Mine is a racers mentality its like before I take a race bike on the track I scratch it first so that when I get on the track it wont drop me on my a**! its a superstition kind of thing. The hard hat analogy would be like me saying I am not going to wear my helmet while on the track... And I really doubt a little tow hook is going to save my car from wrecking and or keeping me from getting injured in the process... lmao!

kenchan 09-17-2010 08:11 PM

hahahahaha, i see. :D

Fire 09-18-2010 07:39 AM

I think the hook will look right at home when the canards, front splitter, side skirts, rear wing, diffuser, wheel spacers and lowering springs get installed. And also I believe that a tow hook may be required per a previous post for track days.Ofcourse the SC will finish the whole look and feel of the car.:stirthepot:

I would just wanna be able to get my car off the track efficiently if needed...
