Default radar detector installation, want to hide

i'm thinking about getting a radar detector, but i don't want to have it out at all, i'd really prefer to have it hardwired and hidden. any ideas on how to hide one, and also some suggestions for radar detectors? i like the v1 but it's too expensive

Here's a good thread on using the invisicord and the mounting bracket. I have the Escort 9500ix and love it.

Escort offers a "hidden" one that gets installed into the center console and detectors are discreetly placed on front and rear bumpers where you can't see them unless you are really looking for them. Unfortunately, you're talking about 3x the price for this version.

Whistler has a Pro3450 that is not too bad price wise, and is a good unit...

Someone showed an awesome hack where they integrated the V1 into the Homelink! That would be awesome!!!
