Tails Tinted
Tinted the tails myself yesterday.
VHT Nite-Shades U-Pol Clear #1 600-grit sandpaper 3M painter's masking tape (green) Stoner's Invisible Glass (final wipe down before spraying) Masking off the turn/reverse lights parts are time-consuming but well worth it. |

good job! it looks like they came out well! however i wouldnt have used the invisible glass cleaner before you used the nightshades, it could have left residue and caused the paint to not adhere correctly or crack

Thanks my man. I used Invisible Glass because I have used it in the past before on other vehicles, and I made sure I had several passes with microfiber cloth to ensure I didn't have any residue.

Wasting time with Paint...this looks cool. Obviously the angle of the "slits" can follow the hatchback if you prefer. Anyone done something like this yet?

Are you planning to do something to the center light? Or black it out as well... now it just stands out even more as an eyesore?
Nice job on the tinting.

I didn't like it at first, but now I think it looks pretty good. It's the center brake light that's distracting. Maybe if it was black or clear, it would match everything else.
