Ive been looking at reviews for the past week and it seems Escort Passport 9500ix and Escort Redline are top of the line. I havnt decided between the two but I am leaning towards the 9500ix

Looking good and thank you posting the wiring information. I made my own invisicord and it was easy to tap into the homelink power.

Thanks for the DIY. The invisicord worked perfect!
Has anyone with the Mirror Mount Escort setup from "countryjoy", listed on the DIY, had problems with the radar bouncing and rattling when on rough road. With the suction cup mount, the windshield acts as a stabalizer against the back of the detector. I love the look of this mirror mount, but there is just too much excess noise coming from my detector. Has anyone come up with a remedy for this?

Just installed my invisicord and blendmount. Zero drama - the invisicord leads easily plugged into the Homelink mirror harness.

My Escort Redline fired up first time. I did take an extra minute and used a level to set the the blendmount angles with the detector installed. I also routed the harness to the left side of the mirror post.

Both products are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I just had mine hard wired at Best Buy, and he brought the cord out from behind the sun glass binnacle. looks like crap. I'm taking it back. Maybe I should do this instead, if only I had seen this first.

Guys I wouldnt really throw your money away on one of these. Police have a little button on the radar that turns it on and stand by mode, When in stand by mode the detctor will not pick up the radar, but when they take it off stad by it will but by then its too late BC they already got you clocked.

With that being said each to there own, it up to you just my 2 Cents.

Radar detectors aren't foolproof. They don't guarantee you won't get pinched for speeding. All radar detectors do is give you an edge. I've had 5 Escorts or V1s since my 1980 280ZX. They have saved me countless tickets over the years. Not all of them...I've had a few...but last year alone, "Instant On" and everything, my PassPort saved me from getting two tickets, and that's about right...two tickets a year. It has MORE than paid for itself.
