Default 9500ix Mounted.

The wiring for the mirror is:

black/red - switched power
yellow - always on power
black - ground

so plug the yellow wire of the invisicord into the harness where the black/red wire is. Plug the black invisicord into the harness where the black wire is. Plug back in the harness and you are done!
Par4 et all,

Thanks for the advice on installing the radar detector. I ordered the 23mm mount, got the straight cord from escort.com and went to it. I used the switched power on mine. BTW, I have had both the V1 and now the 9500ix. I can't tell you how great it is driving down the road with no false alerts (auto gps learning/marking ROCKS!)

I got my mount and invisicord in the mail today and just finished the install. Looks great.

One little hiccup I had is my homelink connector had a black with red stripe, a black with yellow stripe and a black with white stripe wires. I didn't have a solid black wire in my homelink connector. Just a heads up for anyone else that has this situation, the black with white is ground and the black with red is switched power.

Thanks for the tip I think I will order my mount and cord later today.

That does look really low, anyway to get it closer to the bottom of the mirror?
That looks about 3-4 inches below.
I really like the way the 9500ix mounts so close. I like my V1, but I am kind of tired of false alarms in the city, most of the times I just don't even use it, unless I'm on the freeway or going on a longer trip.

All radar will have false positives, but the Escort system is built so you can tag a spot and it will mark it false so it does not bother you again. The V1 does not have that feature.

Would this Add-A-Circuit from Amazon also work with the V1 radar if you wanted to connect?

I’m currently running through some problems, I have the Invisicord wire for the home link but do not fit or I’m not installing it right, is there something wrong I’m doing? Did I order the right Invisicord?

Here are some pictures

You got the right cord. It's a very tight fit. Make sure the probes are flat and then slide them into the back of the wiring harness. You might have to move the wires around to make some room for the probe to slide in. It's a PITA. Might need some needle nose pliers also to push the probes in tight. Be careful you can break the probes easily. I found placing the probes in the top part of the harness worked better for me... Keep trying you'll get it.
