Just installed my invisicord and blendmount. Zero drama - the invisicord leads easily plugged into the Homelink mirror harness.
My Escort Redline fired up first time. I did take an extra minute and used a level to set the the blendmount angles with the detector installed. I also routed the harness to the left side of the mirror post. Both products are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I just had mine hard wired at Best Buy, and he brought the cord out from behind the sun glass binnacle. looks like crap. I'm taking it back. Maybe I should do this instead, if only I had seen this first.

Guys I wouldnt really throw your money away on one of these. Police have a little button on the radar that turns it on and stand by mode, When in stand by mode the detctor will not pick up the radar, but when they take it off stad by it will but by then its too late BC they already got you clocked.
With that being said each to there own, it up to you just my 2 Cents.

So then the only time you would have problems is if you are the leader in the pack and there is no one in front of you for miles, no? Otherwise the police will have turned the radar on to get readings from some of the cars in front of you

OIC thanks
so if some is in front of you by xxxx amount of distance (lets say you can see them but not miles away) then the detector should pick up the radar ahead no? I will try and clarify my question in another description - so I am saying basically as long as your not the guy right out in front and a far distance from the car in front then your detector should detect the radar being used on the cars ahead of you...... Sorry I know it is the same thing twice I lol when I re-read it but I wanted to make sure I had it down right...........

LMAO, yes as long as your not up front or by your self your good, now keep in mind their is alot of types of radar, the one I told you about and then theres ones then track first and second cars but those are really expensive and not everyone has one. and one that uses a laser called LIDAR look it up thats really expensive and you can only use it by holding it like a gun and aiming it at the vehicle you are tracking.
