nogoodname 03-04-2009 12:53 PM

it's there......hello

shumby 03-04-2009 12:55 PM

oops missed it lol it so small. but could you attach a pic I still cannot see it just the words only guessing at what it loooks like.

M.Bonanni 03-04-2009 01:08 PM

Not sure about the line of LEDs, but they sure do look good painted! I want!

nogoodname 03-04-2009 01:10 PM

it looks big the LED's b/c it's a pic and it captured the shining light..i assume in real life it's better

cheshirecat 03-04-2009 01:13 PM

I knew it was just a matter of time- came out excellent. Could have benefitted from double the LEDs on each side I think but regardless of that little thing you did a great job. Also would like to see how some halos look or whether they can even be inserted with this new headlight.

I really want to see some blacked-out headlights on a black 370. I think it's going to really do some justice to the car as far as cleaning up some of the styling cues.

shumby 03-04-2009 01:14 PM

no halos are for BMW only.

nogoodname 03-04-2009 01:15 PM

what are halos........................are you talking about Angel eyes?????

theDreamer 03-04-2009 01:18 PM

Does he have a work log on how he did this, or did he have someone else do it? Thanks.

nogoodname 03-04-2009 01:20 PM

I think the guy did it himself with some help

Amp motorsports should be posting in here soon.....hopefully

I think it's their car

May I ask why, good sir?

shumby 03-04-2009 01:24 PM

not a fan of angle eyes unless it is on a BMW

That really sums it all up. The brand of the car determines whether a mod looks good or not.

I apologize for not realizing this with your first post.

nogoodname 03-04-2009 01:25 PM

angel eyes are nice when they are thin........the aftermarket ones for the G & Z's are fat.........looks soo bad

cheshirecat 03-04-2009 01:29 PM

I believe they put them behind the projector lens/in the projector housing so that you can not see the actual halo. Perhaps the light emitted was lower with the "thinner" CCFLs? From what I've seen it's always been the same amount of actual light volume.

I think the 370 is a nice enough car to pull the look off- the same with the "Audi style" LEDs.

Hey not stating a pissing match. When I think angle eyes I think BMW not oh thats a cool mod. I know some will say well the LED strip is audi. But for some reason when I see the LED strip it does not bring to mind and particular car brand. But hey that's just me. Other views differ and that is why we don't all drive the same car with the same mods right.

chubbs 03-04-2009 02:04 PM

Those lights are beautiful  - exactly what the OEM lamps should have looked like.

Namir 03-04-2009 02:12 PM

Nice, i've seen his work on myg37 and its quality.
So is this going to be the Silver Surfer mod?

nogoodname 03-04-2009 02:39 PM

I emailed the guy to come on here.....so the headlights will he hooked up to the370z ppl

Ryan@CiNcity 03-04-2009 04:11 PM

Those lights look killer!!! i love the paint scheme!

We actually have a soon to be 370Z customer that has order work done by us. so hopefully soon we can get those knocked out.

Keep up the good work! you car is going to be amazing.

batman_4 03-04-2009 04:26 PM

beautiful work but just not sure if im feeling them going in that direction.....i was a fan of the rumor of an LED strip but now that im seeing it for real i don't think i like it...

par4bmw 03-04-2009 05:04 PM

Got to have those for my platinum graphite Z (painted PG not blue obviously). Was thinking of smoking but think the darker look versus chrome in the back of the housing, PG painted lamps and leds would look killer.

Any word on estimated availability or pricing?

LOU@AMPLIFIED 03-04-2009 05:17 PM

Damn you are NO GOOD.. Beat me to a post i should have started .LOL

yes this is our project car, same car we are doing the audio build.

Black chrome housing with color matched projector cup.
It actually looks better in person that the pictures from our crappy camera. The upgraded 6k headlights were too bright and glared too much

Ucla bruin did the LED and assembly but we did the paint scheme:tup: Props to DANNY for the great job on the headlights

Here's more pictures

If you want your lights done, let us know:tup: With or without LED's is possible.

epod86 03-04-2009 05:26 PM

I'm very curious about the wiring for those led's. they look like luxeon 1W, 3W, or 5W, which providing (regulated) power and cooling is no easy task. Waiting for the full story from the man himself. Also like the paint job.

Hey Lou,

Why do I always feel like I am coming in for a landing when I look at those LEDs? ;)

DIGItonium 03-04-2009 06:06 PM

That's close to the look I want... except for the matching paint and amber stuff left in there.

lol never thought of that.

They are not as bright as pictured. We request LED'S that are not so bright so the popo's won't give us a hard time. You should come by and check it out . Are you going to HIN??

We are still trying to get all parties involved and add the man hours so we can properly quote the price. It should be available soon

This is the first mod that I've been truely impressed with so far in this forum. Well done sir.

nizz23sd 03-04-2009 10:22 PM

Minicobra1 03-04-2009 10:24 PM

Great Job

Im 50/50 on the LED's, guess I need to see it in person, but definitely the paint mod, that looks awesome! Keep us updated with price for the mod.

Braden

Frick@DDM 03-04-2009 10:25 PM

I like it a lot! But not feeling the audi led rip off look.

The matching paint looks great and I like the creativity

DannyGT 03-04-2009 10:25 PM

I agree...extremely well thought out, no ricey-ness too it. Very well executed and how they should have done it OEM. I can see the blue making it pop out more and for some they might not like it...but this on a PG is going to look insane...much more subtle.

PM with any details you can, price etc etc etc...im very interested.
