so anybody going to bless this site with a DIY guide for teh brave souls that want to tackle this on by themselves??
at least give teh DIY instruction(baking temp and duration) on how to open them up and seal them properly and the person themselves can paint whatever they want once they get inside or wire up what they wish..........that would be nice...... |

Have you ever attempted this? I ask this as it is not for the faint. You will need window tools, such as nylon sticks, and cleaners to help remove the old sealant. Then you need the proper new sealant. It can all be done, but our headlight is a large unit, and not one to be experimenting on. If you have a high mechanical aptitude, then you can achieve just about all these mods, but I dissuade the first-timers, and those who aren't mechanically oriented.

Lou when I get back to California, I gotta have this done!
I just want my housing painted w/out the LEDs which should be a lot easier. DannyGT, hope you don't mind but I'm using your awesome headlights as an example: DannyGT's Journal/Progress Lou, please PM me pricing on that!
