Default About to go on a painting spreeeeeee

So Ive had my car for alomst a month now and i cant take it being "stock" looking. so i want to paint the front fangs, rear valance, and the spoiler black. now i dont have money to start throwing at a body shop to do it.

Ive only used a spray gun like twice and was only fooling around with it. Now how do you guys feel about rattlecan paint? good idea? Bad idea??
