Tinting

So I will be getting my windows tinted very soon. I have been talking to some people and they recommended me 30% in the back and 50% in the front. Is this pretty noticeable? How did you guys do your tinting? Oh, and one more thing, what is considered paying a lot for tinting a 370z?

Any recommendation on tinting? All recommendations are welcome!

I did 30% all around and really like it. If I had it to do over, I'd probably go down to 20% on the rear glass. I don't remember what my price was though because I got a deal with it on my VentureShield.

I got 38% all around and love it. I think 2theextreme has 50% all around and his looks really good, too. I know 50% is the limit in VA.

I'm going with 2% all around. Florida gets hot!

tweba09 08-12-2010 11:39 AM

16% all around on mine and I think I should have gone darker.....

flashburn 08-12-2010 11:52 AM

15% all around and it's the perfect amount of darkness. I just wish I went with Ceramic tint instead, keeps out heat way more effectively.

As you can probably tell, everyone is different and likes different %'s of tints, so it's pretty subjective.

Well i see that most ppl have done all around... but i live in california where any tint to the front area is considered illegal... now my home is fresno (100+ degree every fukin day) but i will be livin in sd... so i was plannin on doing 50 front 30 back? or any suggestions?

flashburn 08-12-2010 01:17 PM

Personally I like it when the tint matches on all windows, it can look kind of odd if you don't.

yea i live in temecula which is by san diego too and i go to sd every week...like i said i have 2% on all three back windows and then 15% on the front and i have only been pulled over once and i didnt even get a ticket and it is so nice having the back windows so dark because of all the trucks with bright lights dont affect me while im driving at night and i can still see through the real windows just fine...it did take a little getting use to at first tho....i will b in sd on monday and tuesday if u wanna meet and take a look at mine if u want

KcL@AOI 08-13-2010 11:11 AM

20% on the rear and two small side windows and then 32% on the side windows.

Jjaden 08-13-2010 03:27 PM

Perfect For me

20% all around here, paid 200$ cash and I love the tint, it's very dark but visibility is not affected at all.

Having said this my car being black makes the %20 looks even darker than it would on another colour...

I highly recommend this setup, many compliments from friends...

JayYoon 08-14-2010 01:10 AM

I talk to the guy who works in the tint shop... he said... "if u do all around dark, the question is not will you get a ticket... the real question is WHEN will you get a ticket"...
