Scrape underneath bumper
I was working on my z everyday at a friends house. I had to resort to using metal ramps to drive up on I didnt realize they were steeper then the ramps I had at my house.
I ended up scraping the bumper on the very bottom. You cant see unless you lay down and look underneath but it still bothers me. The scrape is about 1/2 inch in width and 3 inches long. Will touch up paint help me or should I consult the people the dealership uses to touch up paint. Thanks. |

Depending on your level of ocd and price point, you could just have the lower section of the bumper painted with the blend line finishing before it becomes visible. The only real correct way to fix it is to have the whole bumper repainted since color matching a metallic paint is tricky, even more so on plastic.

Im not to OCD, and if it is still noticeable when you look underneath it would not be the end of the world.
Do you guys know how much it would be to repaint that little section. Im in canada and roaming right now or I would call someone. Im thinking about just trying the touch up paint to see if it makes it a little better. |

you should visit a psychologist to help you. who cares if you cant see it from normal view. you going to go under the car each time after rain and wipe down all the worms and crap that got splashed up under there?

keep in mind if you put the car on a lift and saw all the other scrapes and scratches on all the rest of the vehicle underbody, you probably would freak
out as well...... I did. I simply shrugged my shoulders and was happy I don't look under the car too often. If you can't do that, most body shops can fill the scratch and blend paint it for probably 100 or so. |
