Beat the Redlight Camera
After getting 2 tickets in the mail of my z missing the intersection by 5 feet and getting a red light ticket, I need a fix. The tickets cost me over 300 and I feel it to be so ridiculous.
Anyone have a suggestion of a good plate cover? I know they are illegal but Im just asking if anyone has a good suggestion. I wish those cameras would be outlawed, all it does it generate revenue for the greedy government. |
The fix is already installed on your car...

Yep, the easiest fix for not getting tickets for running red lights would be... to stop running red lights. Especially at intersections with cameras. Here in columbus the interesections that are patrolled by red light cameras are clearly marked. So leard what lights these are and when the light turns yellow and you aren't going to make it, for gods sake stop!!

just remove your plates. weight reduction.

Someone post the red light running video!

there are already plenty of hem out there for us to deal with already. Speeding up and or just trying to get through the light = not to smart driving. I for one have seen many bad accidents and had the pleasure of responding to... Don't be that guy.
And on another note, I for one as I'm sure others, don't want these type of threads, people, and discussions ruining this forum that many have helped build. I sometime wish owning a ''sport'' car (or any car) came with the maturity that should accompany it. If that is how you want to drive, go buy a PS3 and sell the Z... |

Sometimes it can't be helped. Most of us have been in situations where slamming the brakes at a yellow would likely cause an accident. Also realize that those cameras are not 100% accurate. I'm not saying he should intentionally run red lights, on the contrary. It just seems like the cameras are set up/timed to catch you off gaurd. Sometimes they shorten the transition time between yellow & red to yield more tickets. Just playing devils advocate, but if running a red light at these intersections are really so dangerous to the public. Why is the fine only $50 and no points. If the local government wanted to stop this from happening, shouldn't the fine be $1,000 and up. I personaly think they are usefull, but it really depends on the location. It's sad, but they usally look for a spot that creates the most revenue (heavy, but slow traffic areas) instead of the most dangerous. OP don't bother with covers & sprays. It's more trouble than it's worth. |
This is a sore subject for me. I got one last summer and I contested it and I think it was dismissed. I am not one to run red lights but the few I was tagged in were BS. I found out that the red light camera lights are being rigged to be a few seconds shorter on the yellow!!!! With that information I decided If I should be close enough to where I might get tagged again, I will simply drop my **** in 2nd and FLOOR it thru the effing intersection as fast as I can. I don't give a !@#$, they are not getting me again! Greedy !@#$'s.
Note: I also tried the slamming on my brakes to avoid running through the intersection but that does not work too well either. With the shorter yellow light its hard to avoid this! |
