For the V3 bumper maybe Stillen will carve out out of wood...
Sorry to see this happen Caravan, hope it gets resolved quickly and this does not become another epic like Forgestar again.

did another round of test-fitting over the weekend. Videos sent to Stillen for review and awaiting their response...
Just finished catching up with the rest of this thread. I'm convinced Stillen employs trolls to mold their urethane.
I respect your patience Caravan. I would have sent that crap back already. |

Still doesn't fit with the ears attached, but the rest fits fine without the ears.
YouTube - 100_1285.MOV - This video shows the gaps when I have the bumper installed with ears attached. I cannot get the clips on the upper center section of the bumper clipped at all because of how far forward it sits. YouTube - 100_1286.MOV - This video shows when I try to get the clips under the headlights secure on one side, it pops the other side out due to poor fitment. YouTube - 100_1287.MOV - I now removed the "ears" from the bumper. Notice everything seems to fit fine now. I was also able to use all of the clips on the upper center section of the bumper to secure it. YouTube - 100_1288.MOV - a more distant view of the previous video __________________ I sent these videos to Kyle and Josh on Saturday night. I received a response today around noon from Kyle stating that I need to secure the top lip of the bumper with the clips to avoid flexing of the bumper. The problem with this is that I cannot get the top lip secured with the clips with the ears attached. |
I think it's time to send that POS back and request your money back.
/runs out to car to remove anything that says Stillen.. I would hate for people to think my car is crap!
Guess this means i need to save up for a GTM TT and amuse body kit.. Stillen whats with the disappointing products? |

ya i did. idk y yours is like that. its suppose to lip in. idk what to tell ya. Hopefully stillen has answers.
nope, they told me I'm installing it wrong, but only told me to install the clips in the top lip of the bumper that I can't maneuever the bumper into when the ears are attached.
How about Clipping one side and taping it down while you clip the other, then once the other side is clipped take the tape off... See if it works once both are clipped or if it springs out?
Pretty disappointing. I was about to jump the gun on this bumper also. Stillennnnn why??!?!?!!!? Make it in FRP lol.
i would just return it and get something else...
I bet its a simple fix.
it's only simple if they replace the ears with shorter ones.
so..what you gonna do?
I told Kyle that I'd like a refund and a return shipping label. He responded telling me they are putting together a video to demonstrate the installation and did not respond to my request for refund.

lol ok I was really really trying to be not on stillen's side but trying not to pick a side but now....
I am on a stillen strike! http://rlv.zcache.com/nudist_on_stri...35yzcg_400.jpg |
Damn! I was all set to pull the trigger on the v2 of this bumper..glad I saw this thread before I did. I think the entire community can agree this 3-piece bumper idea was a monumental FAIL. The money saved in shipping is far eclipsed by the headache and expense caused by fitting the damn thing together. I'd venture to say Stillen learned a lesson with this one.
