Clearbra or not to clearbra
My 370 finally came in today! I'm going to inspect it after work and possibly drive it home tonight.
I am torn on the clearbra though. I only take small inlet streets, no highway/interstate driving in the z. I had a mazdaspeed 3 and had almost no rock chips on it for the 3.5 yrs I owned it. Under these conditions and in your personal preference is it worth getting a clearbra? Thanks for any help. |
What color is it? the paint on the Z is pretty sensitive. But if you had 0 rock rips on your old car, and you aren't that picky about your paint, then you shouldn't have to worry.

Car will be silver.

if you aren't very picky, a silver car is the best candidate for not getting clear bra. If the occasional chip doesn't bother you, don't get it, save the 1000 bucks or buy something else for your car.
|
Are you planning on tracking the car at all? A lot? If so then that would be another good reason to do it. If you do plan on tracking it but not often (once or twice a year) then you could just tape it up for protection on those days.

i use no clearbra on my hobby cars...actually dont use on my dd either. :p
i just drive a good 3 seconds behind the car ahead. |
Good luck doing that on I-4, you'd never get anywhere. :rofl2:

My vote in your situation is to save the money and don't do it.
|
yea if i was you i wouldn't do it . If i had a silver car i wouldn't do it even in NY, but mine is black.
|
I didn't get it. I regret it. 15k miles and more chips than a bag of Doritos.
|
Get it!!

Anyone got one on a White Z? |
Just do it, you can only regret if you didn't, you will never regret if you did...
