How To Adjust Your Side-View Mirrors

I use this method, I think everyone that is used to driving SUV type cars makes it so you can see the corner of your bumper with the mirrors but the z's blind spot is to big to do that

It was weird at first but it helped alot and I can see everything now.

I've been using this method for the past year in any vehicle that I drive and it really works, especially on the freeway but it just takes some getting used to.

Yeah its weird when you can only see the road and not the back bumper, oh well better then swiping cars.

For people that haven't adjusted driving a Z, Adding mirrors just makes it look lame.

This. I prefer to call it "racing" setting for side mirrors and all my vehicles have the side mirrors in this setting if not a little more even. It's so that when you go to change lanes (especially quickly in racing where head movement in a helmet is limited), it eliminates the need (dependency) to look over your shoulder. With enough drive time this becomes second nature and you wonder how you ever drove any other way.

When set "properly", you should be able to look in your passenger (I do driver as well) side mirror and see a car approaching and before it goes out of view in the mirror it's already within view of the side window.

this is the one i use, works great, i do lean forward and turn my head also, etc. I don't think of it as "rice" as it does serve a purpose.

Boost_lee 07-09-2010 02:17 AM

I like my Broadway mirror in my Honda, but it doesn't help as much in the Z. I just do the lean instead
