Chances are your car will tip over if you pulled hard enough.

This fang overlay fits so well, it will hold up WITHOUT any double sided tape! (not that I suggest it )

^ how come you can still see some of the blue by the fang cover? Does it not cover all the way? Is this the Zstore version or evo-r's?

It fits well meaning there's enough resistance to keep this fang in place WITHOUT double sided tape. That corner shows a little bit of blue paint if you sit down and get close. Standing up, you can't see it. This is theZstore cf fang.

Something like that would drive me crazy, lol I wonder if the evo-r version does the same thing?

No clue about the EVO-R version.

I'm thinking about taking it off tomorrow (weather permitting). It could be installer error (perhaps one of the tape is sticking before the target surface and preventing the fang to fit snug all the way?) . The ONLY way to find out is to take it off and put it on again. I'll keep you posted.

Might I suggest e-tape that area before re-applying the fang?

I've seen the same issue on the EvoR fang, but not as big of a gap. Their fang has more issues with the paint showing through the center vent primeter. Its pretty sad looking unless you paint/e-tape that area as well.

I'm thinking about doing the Zstore's CF fang and B Pillar on my MB. I'm on the list to get my lights done by MR Works right now and the two CF pieces would be cool accents for the rest of the black add-ons. If you do them, be sure to post pictures!

Something about the mirror pieces doesn't quite rub me the right way. Cool for some, just not for me.

I totally understand that. 4 out of 5 friends approved my side mirrors. 1 of them said that he liked the OEM blue colored mirror better.

I kinda got the idea from some of the Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. Take a look:

I think it looks good on them and I simply wanted to give it a try. I personally think it looks pretty good on my Z. Your eyes first goes to the front cf fang and then the cf mirrors carry the theme. But I totally understand if someone don't like them.

Oh, I know they look dead sexy on the Italians; I'm a big fan of the contrasting/offset color for mirrors. I was speaking more in terms of specifically for my car.

Driving a metallic black car already, I think having CF cover the plate frame (which idea I picked up from the toll tag thread of yours), fangs/lip and B-pillars will be plenty of CF accent for the car. If I had any other color, I would likely be looking for a way to offset the mirrors, but they're already black on mine (and I had them wrapped in VentureShield).

ahh I see. I didn't know you had a black car. With black cars, you can only do so much. Yup, your plan is pretty good. The ONLY suggestion I will make is to buy some of those 3M VHB tape (.45 mil) from ebay (about $6) and you'll be much more happy with the B Pillar install. The tape that comes with are not that good. Good luck. If you need any help, I'm right here

Well, I'm putting a freeze on mod spending until we see what these wind up looking like. I've got the first few days of August reserved for them to do work on my lights and I really want to see what's behind their teaser. The "landing strip" was never my thing either.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Carbon Fiber thread...

I did see Evo-R was working on some CF door handles. Interesting idea and a possible alternative to the body painting idea. I want to be careful not to over carbon fiber the car though. I don't want to mess with black - a proven good thing - too much.
