Im getting the z tinted tomorrow and I keep flopping between 15 or 25 percent. I like the way 15 looks alot but dont want to crash the z because of reduced visibility.
so my question is, is 15% to dark? will I be able to see my side mirrors through the windows at night to check for cars. Thanks |

I have no problems with 15% at night. I had 25% on my old car and almost stuck with it, since I really wanted 20% and they didn't offer it. I had the same concerns as you. In the end, I'm glad I went with 15% and all my future cars will be 15%.

No problem. 5% is just about as dark as it gets. My roommate got 5% last week on his Xterra and I can BARELY see in it with my face against the window. It's not too bad to see out of, but at night it's pretty dark. Plus, there would be a good chance you would get pulled over for a tint that dark, unless it's legal where you live, but I think it's illegal in every state for passenger cars.

It won't be that big of a difference, you will be very happy with 15%. Here in Tennessee the limit is 35%, but I've had mine tinted at 15% for about 10 months now and haven't had any problems.

I have either 35 or 40, Whatever the dealer put on, still looks pretty dark because of how low our car sits!
I need the rear to be DARK, probably 5 %, don't want creepers to notice sub so easily. ![]()

I had 0% done on all my cars prior to the Z (except my vw bug) but after thinking about it, the darker tint made the Z look a little too "thug". The last thing I wanted is to take away from the beauty of the Z.
Now, the only time I ever had an issue with the darker tint, is when it was in the middle of the night, with no street lights, while it was raining. In that situation, I had to be a little cautious when pulling out onto roads and whatnot. Other than that, you'll be able to see just fine. Personally, I think anything between 20% and 45% should look great on the Z. I ended up with 35%.
