Ding on rear fender PDR?

I got my first door ding on my rear wheel passenger side fender. Paint is ok but there is a small dent on the arch, on the edge. See pic. Can PDR get to this place?

Yesterday a clown in a pickup almost backed into me on that side too, that would of been real bad!

yah, definitely try PDR. decorative lines are hard to get dings out but it's do'able depending on depth and exact location.

i heard pdr does not work well with dings on contour body lines.

it is harder to push out and some techs can't fix it... but if one takes their time it's doable in certain cases.

Well I have an appt tomorrow for the PDR guy to take a look at it. Will let you all know. Sounds like a common place for a door to hit!

ahhahah mate i have EXACTLY the same ding in exactly the same spot. Damn 4WD parked next to me, must have been the door. Mines Monterey Blue too hahaha so its slightly amusing seeing it in exactly the same position on your car! hahah

Enlighten me... Whats PDR? Let me know if it works/how much!

Haha me too, I had that happen to me. I did the PDR and it was barely noticable and then a few wks later somone hit it again right next to it. So now I'm just like eff this, I'll just wait when I have to repaint the car to fix all the chips and dents.

Hey how much was the fix? And did he have to drill a hole under the fender liner?

PDR = Paintless Dent Repair, where they use special metal tools to massage the dent from the back side to pop it out. Usually costs around $80 a dent and no need to do bodywork or repainting. And it usually takes 10-15 minutes!

I had the PDR guy have a look at my car a while ago to see if he could remove a very slight dent from that area. He said no problem but the interior panels would have to be removed first. Never have a hole drilled under the fender, as this will only rust in time. I haven't had mine it fixed yet, as it is hardly noticeable.

I also do not want to drill into the fender liner.

Can someone who has removed the interior hatch panels comment if you can even access the fenders there? Looks like it may not be doable!

He drilled into the door area where the door latches onto the car. He did a good job. Cost was $90

Just to note, any work to this part of the car isn't fender work - that's an integral unibody quarter panel. They usually consist of two sheets of metal - interior and exterior. Thus, it requires quite a bit of fishing to gain access to the dented panel. I've always figured they would have to drill in order to fix quarter panel dings from behind, but I don't know much about PDR.

is that a plug along the top edge? it could be an access hole.
