Part number???
I am missing a couple of parts that go on the rear bumper on my 09 Nismo. On the rear bumper if you look underneath, right behind the exhaust at the lip of the bumper. There should be 3 pop rivets attached to 3 separate brackets supporting the bumper. On my car, all I have is one pop rivet attached to the center black, plastic U-shaped bracket attached to the center of the bumper. There are 2 more metal brackets extending down from the frame, one on either side of the U-shaped bracket.
I have the 2 black, metal brackets that extend down from the frame. But, I am missing the 2 pop rivets and what looks like a black, piece of plastic that extends across the bottom of the bumper, inside the lip. I looked on a Nismo at a local dealership and it looks like this long piece of black plastic just sits on the inner lip of the bumper. The center pop rivet goes through it and then the other 2 pop rivets go through the same piece. I don't have a digital camera to take any pics but, hopefully someone with a Nismo will know what I am talking about and could possibly help me out. By either telling me the name of that part (long piece of black plastic and the 2 pop rivets.), I'd appreciate it. The 2 dealerships I visited weren't of any real help. Big surprise. |

You may want to check out Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com. Run through their diagrams until you see what you need.

The 2nd dealership I went to, the parts guy printed out the schematic for the Nismo. We both looked at it together and couldn't find that part I need. The 2 pop rivets are easy enough. It's the black, plastic piece that those pop rivets attach to that is the problem.
The place I bought my car has no more Nismo's so I can't show them what I am missing. It's crap that this stuff was missing on my car when I bought it and it's really bugging me that I can't figure out what this part is called or the part #. There has to be a Nissan dealership who has a parts guy who knows this part. Just have to find one. |

First picture is looking up at rear bumper on the left side, right above the exhaust tip. Second picture is looking up at bumper also, but at the center U-shaped bracket with the pop rivet attached to the bumper. As you can see the left bracket is missing the pop rivet as well as the long black, plastic piece that it pops into. It's the same on the right side, just didn't take a picture of it.
