I use to use iguidance, which was pretty dang good at noticing one from the other, but my current Pioneer Avic F90BT is absolutely useless noticing when I forget/miss the exit. I've noticed missed exits and frontage roads to be the acid test for navi systems.

I'm with you on that. Houston seems to be a lot more frontage-road centric than other major cities, maybe the guys who design these things never test them in a city like Houston.
