Auto Window Fix

Mods if this should goto the DIY thread my apologies, as this is some helpful information for those that don't know.

Well after scratching my head after taking power off the car and then connecting it again, my windows lost function to Auto down or up when you go to the second detent.

Long story short here is the Nissan fix for resetting your windows.
-Stop the car, keep it running
-Push the window button all the way down until windows are all the way down, and hold for 5-10 seconds. You'll hear a series of clicks.
-now Hold window switch to put windows up, the windows may stop half way like mine, but simply let go and push the button up again, the windows will go all the way up and again hold for 10 seconds. You'll hear a series of clicks again.

Now try the Auto up and down functions and they should work. This series tests and resets the windows functions.
Hope that helps anyone who didn't know about this, and this works on all Nissan vehicles.

Proper procedure, manual page 2-41:

If the windows do not close automatically

If the power window automatic function (closing only) does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the power window system.

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Close the door.

3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch.

4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.

5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.

6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.

If the power window automatic function does not operate properly after performing the procedure above, have your vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.

Fixed it!

Thank you! That fixed my windows.
It also fixed the "final closing" when close the window.

For info - my driver's window didn't pause halfway, but the passenger window did. And my windows needed 20 seconds holding time: 5-10 wasn't enough.
