when washing it car, i did not know what it thing was. it was actually already there. i thought it was just regular bird poop but i guess it's not. damn already spent 25 bucks on those two products (clay bar and tar/bug spray). i guess i'll hit up autozone on my way home today and see what they got for polish compounds...

any recommendations?

Try this goo gone, works pretty good. Just apply a small amount to a micro towel, use your finger(In side the towel) to rub it on the problem. It may take some time rubbing to get the spot out. If it doesn't come out, then it's very serious spot!
GooGone Goo Gone 4oz Bottle

Sold at, K Mart, Target, Wal Mart, stores.

Zymol cleaner wax... i swear by this stuff. It's amazing what it can do. Amazing shine, hide swirls, remove water stains, and even remove sap/tar/bird poop stains (with some elbow grease).

I am beginning to wonder whether this blemish is actually under your clearcoat.

how does stain get UNDER the clear coat?

i'm also on the meguiars online forums, just talked to Mike over there from Meguiars. he told me to come in on Saturday after their car class and he will take a look at it and see what's up.

at the factory. Could be grease or anything from nissan's paint line that these parts hang on when they get coated.

During production. The automated spray equipment has to be cleaned and flushed properly.

okay i'm just wondering, is there a way to take off the clear coat and then re-apply the clear coat? sorry but i know nothing about how the paint process works.

Not really something you'd want to do yourself—if this is actually the case.

you guys think this will be covered by the warranty? i mean if that IS the case, shoot, i'll have them re-paint the hood or something.

Yes.

yea i noticed some over spray on my back bumper blue/black spots on my right rear bumper just behind my tire, i tried just about everything to take it off. i told my dealer about it said just bring it in, and it will be covered under warranty if it is indeed under the clearcoat.

arcticreaver 04-23-2009 05:50 PM

this is what i'm going to do. i'm going to check with nissan dealer at like 8am when they open since i'm going to just do a walk in. i want to see what they say about it and if it's warranty and also to check on the alignment issue.

i'm really don't want this dealership to touch my car since i found that after they washed my car i has some swirls on the side pillars that can't be taken off.

if they can assure me that the problem can be solve and NO swirls nor scratches in the paint after they are done, i'll do it with them. otherwise, i'll drive up to irvine and check out Meguiars with Mike.
