Cloth seats provide better support than Leather?
 

I know the cloth seats are grippier than the leather/suede, but they also seem to have slightly better support. The cloth felt more snug when I sat in them. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but the cloth seems to be sunken in a tad bit more. Look at the seat base in these pictures, doesn't the cloth look like it has just a bit more thigh support?

Aren't the seats identical, apart from the trim?

I think the cloth easily stretches and conforms more to the actual formed shape of the foam underneath, whereas the leather tends to deform the foam and flatten it due to leather having so much more strength, and less stretch.

I bet they are the same base seat. The reason they look slightly different is because the cloth stretches and gives more than the leather will. Looks like I took too long to type!

The cloth fabric stretching a bit more makes sense. I thought the seats should be identical too. But the leather also has motors and heating elements inside, so I wonder if not having these in the cloth allows for the cushion to be lower set.

cloth more comfortable in my opinion, and if u do not own a garage, then stick with the cloth

Lumbar support comes is offered with the Touring package/driver side only. The cloth seats are suppose to have some kind of anti-slide material to help keep you in place.

I'll never understand why they put slick leather in sports cars. Tracking a car with leather is downright difficult. You slide out of the seat in every turn. My preference is microfiber or "alcanterra." It stick to your clothes really well. Only a handful of cars have it. New Eclipse, STI, and IS300 come to mind.

you are correct...clothe seats gives that sinking feeling...i like clothe better because it won't burn ur bottoms in the summer and won't freeze in the winter...lol
and you dont have to worry about it cracking b/c of uv rays and what nots....
also, you got clean it and seal it. with clothe, just spray that stuff that repels water.
I've seen it, it's quite cool.....i sprayed it on paper towel and it didnt get wet..awesome

also, the leather seats will most likely bubble, as in you'll see a big bubbling effects on the bottom cushions........happened to most G37's and i'm sure it will happen again
the only fix it to make the leather tighter, which would mean a harder and less sinkable seat.

I like cloth because leather is hot ... however, I don't like the static cling seems to build up on cloth seats. But, nothing a little static guard spray once in a while can't fix.

I like the clothe, it's like sitting on a pillow.............who wouldn't like to sit on a pillow of feathers with 332 Hp...hahha

Well, actually, I've had leather seats in just about every car I've had. There's treatments for the leather just like cloth. If you don't take care of your interior, be it cloth or leather, it will get torn, stained, scratched, etc. But taking care of your car is key.

We use leather treatments on our seats that prevent them from stretching, cracking, and stops those wrinkles as well. Our seats all look new (except for my dad's car. He never takes care of his cars).

Leather is a must for me. Some of my friends aren't the "cleanest" of people. In the summer when they sweat, they stink! Last thing I'd want is them leaving that in the cloth. Leather is far easier to clean. I generally don't let them sit in my car anyway, but it DOES have to happen at some point. Usually I'll force them to drive their car and I'll sit passenger so that they don't get in my car. I let them know why and they usually understand. One of them gets pissed at me, but hey, I'm not the stinky moron that doesn't shower enough. LOL

but that still doesn't solve the Nissan Bubbling Seat Effect feature that most G's had....

Haven't seen the "bubbling" effect you're talking about.
